Back to T2 for the factory tour

I saw this sign at the end of my tour. I think we will have to copy it and use it back in Beaverton.

I really got an education in shoe making today. I never knew how much hand work goes into making a single pair of shoes. I always thought that most of it was done by machine, the machines are used, but there are sooo many people that do the work.

I not only have a greater appreciation for my job but also for the people that work here and how hard they have to work. How silly little design changes mean hours and hours of work have to be re-done to move a line 1mm in some cases... how much waste comes from the silly little details. I wish I could share with you guys all the images that I took but I will just show you what I can over the web.

Chang Shin factory tour

I had a fun day today. We had more project break out sessions. It's amazing how the work gets done when you feel like you are on the NYSE floor with voices and comments going everywhere.
After that was over, I was able to go to Chang Shin. No cameras are allowed in their site. It was really nice, I was able to get some shots on our way back to the motel and out front. It's a rainy day so they aren't that great of shots.

Presentation Day

I took more pictures on my way to T2 today. I even made a little movie, I will see if I can get it to upload. The presentation went well, now I will just have to tell everyone at dinner tonight that I am LDS and don't drink as the main boss here found out that this was my first trip to Korea, and tradition is to get the person plastered drunk. ;) whatever.

ah, I just checked out the video.. It wasn't that excititng... Time for me to head off to dinner.

View From the Top

Well, I am here in Busan, Korea. It is on the southern most tip of South Korea. We had a crazy bus ride from the Airport. I had no idea that a bus could go that fast and stop that quick.

I get to stay on the 13th floor and have an ocean view, this is quite the city. The whole place is like downtown NYC with tons of neon lights. I will try to take more pics later on.. I am still suffering from Jet Lag...

Landing in Japan

Well after 10 glorious hours of flying across the Pacific Ocean. We landed in Japan. We went up to the lounge and I took a few shots of these flowers. It was night time so I couldn't take any pics of the surrounding area.
